DC Bread and Brew Announces Grand Opening
Green Certified Stand Alone Restaurant, Bar and Catering Service located in Dupont Circle

Washington, DC (January 6, 2009) - DC Bread and Brew, a unique privately owned restaurant, bar and catering service will open it’s doors January 13, 2009 at 1247 20th Street, NW. The event will be highlighted by a visit from DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and a line up of green goody give aways.

Bringing to the table many years of experience garnered at several well respected establishments VanGoethem has long awaited the chance to fulfill her dream of striking out on her own in her home town. This will be for her, both a business venture, and a matter of personal principles. VanGoethem is a true believer in wholesome ingredients for the whole body, and avid student of environmentalism.

DC Bread and Brew is one of only four restaurants in the Washington, DC area to be certified by the Green Restaurant Association. Environmentally conscious packaging, products and even decorations can be found throughout DC Bread and Brew. Some of the highlights to look for are the chandelier made from recycled beer bottles that leads into the bar area and the corn based catering containers. Also, be sure to ask about the reusable water bottles that can be purchased and refilled every time you come in. This is a cause very near and dear to VanGoethem’s heart and special attention will be given to every opportunity to green the business as it grows.

All efforts will be made by DC Bread and Brew to supply fresh locally grown all natural ingredients. This will be one of few DC caterers to offer organic selections when ever possible and to take this matter close to heart.
